Public transport

Train World is located in Schaerbeek station. The train is therefore the best choice to visit us.

Train World is also easily accessible by:

Tootbus hop-on hop-off tour

Get off at stop 4 (Van Praet-Train World) and walk to the left; cross the road and walk to the right over the bridge along the water.

After about 3 minutes you will see a large Train World billboard on your left; walk past this billboard down towards the pedestrian tunnel that leads you under Schaerbeek station to Train World.

Total walking distance: 8 to 9 minutes

Car parking

A car park can be found next to the station building (B-Parking).

On arrival, take a ticket at the entrance of the car park. For Train World discount to be applied, your ticket must be validated at the museum cash desk or, after 15:30, at the museum shop.

After leaving Train World, you pay at the payment terminal in the car park. Payment by bank card or credit card only. Cash payment is not possible.

You also have the option of parking at Dockx Bruxsel (fee). You will reach Train World on foot via the pedestrian tunnel under Schaerbeek station in around 7 minutes.

Low Emission Zone

Since January 1st, 2018 the Brussels-Capital Region has become a Low Emission Zone (LEZ). If you are entering the city in a car or van, check here to find out whether you are allowed to drive your vehicle within the LEZ. If you do not meet the conditions, we would remind you that there are park-and-ride car parks on the access routes leading into Brussels as well as alternatives to the car.

You should then take the tram nr 7, getting off at Princesse Elisabeth (second stop) to arrive at Train World on foot in about six minutes.

Accessibility

Train World is entirely accessible to persons with reduced mobility. Although some of the locomotives cannot be entered with a wheelchair, you can still enjoy a full and satisfying experience. We accept the European Disability Card.

If you would like to come to Train World by train, please note that Schaerbeek Station does not have facilities for disabled passengers. There is no assistance available for wheelchair users and the platforms can only be accessed by staircase (there are neither elevators nor escalators).
