On 11 November, we will host our family day again! We will provide plenty of fun activities for the whole family. The perfect time to get to know Train World and guaranteed to be a fun outing for young and old alike. 

What's on the agenda?

 Running continuously from 10am to 5pm (last hunt starts at 3.30pm) 

  • Take a photo with our Train World hosts at your favourite carriage or locomotive (new building). 
  • Play the Giant Memory game with your family at the end of Hall 4. 
  • Craft workshop “Make your own Train World badge”. One badge per child. Available continuously while supplies last (in Hall 3). 

Bespoke programme (work in progress)   

 

  • Music Theatre OMNIBUS
    The OMNIBUS company, a group of travellers, takes children and adults on a musical journey along the railway tracks. They present theatre and songs tailored to families in our Grand Ticket Hall.
    Meeting point: Grand Ticket Hall
    Duration: 30 minutes
    Times: 11:00 am, 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm
    Duration: 30 minutes each performance
    No reservation required. 
  • Get made up during our make-up workshop (hall 4)
    From 11u30 am til 5 pm. 
  • Reading corner
    A fun story presented in an inclusive way for hearing, hard-of-hearing and deaf visitors.
    For all ages. Inclusive storytelling in Flemish Sign Language (VGT) and Dutch & Belgian French Sign Language (LSFB) and French with APEDAF.
    For all ages. 

Meeting point: Grand Ticket Hall
Time: 11.30 am and 3 pm (French and LSFB) + 2.30 pm (dutch + VGT)
Duration: 30 minutes
No reservation required. 

  • On a train journey with a mime (new building)
    Hall 1 : 1.30 – 1.50 pm
    Hall 2 en 3 : 2.10 – 2.50 pm
    Hall 4 en 2 : 3.10 – 3.50 pm
    Hall 3 en 4 :  4.10 – 5 pm
