Low stimulus day

In 2026, Train World will organize two low-stimulus days in addition to the monthly low-stimulus mornings. One on Sunday, April 12 and a second one on Wednesday, December 2, 2026. On these days we provide adapted activities in an adapted museum.

  • Visit the museum with adapted scenography, without a guide.

  • Low-stimulus guided tour (in French) 
    Enjoy a calm visit accompanied by a professional guide. 
    Price: €18 
    Duration: 1h30, 
    Meeting point in the “Salle des pas perdus” 
    Reservation required.

  • Multisenso Rail – Tour and activity  (in Dutch)
    Discover the steam train together with a narrator. What is Multisenso Rail? 
    Price: €18 
    Duration: 1h, Meeting point at the bookshop 
    Reservation required. Tickets via our webshop “Multisenso Rail” 
  • Playmobil Workshop 
    During this workshop, you’ll explore all the possibilities of Playmobil. You’ll learn the story of the Type 12 steam locomotive and solve a group challenge. The workshop is low-threshold and is open to everyone. Age doesn’t matter. 
    In collaboration with Diorama Ben PM 
    Dutch only, Price: €18 , Duration: 1h30,  Meeting point in the room ‘Land van Waes’ , Reservation required. Tickets via our webshop “Playmobil workshop” 
    Maximum 12 participants per workshop.

  •  Bilingual storytelling – French and sign language 
    The project “Séance Bébés, Bambins Sourds Bouquinent (BBSB)” was created in 1998 in collaboration with the deaf community as a mixed reading animation for deaf and hearing children. Deaf and hearing storytellers work on equal footing. Each story is told simultaneously in sign language and French. In partnership with ADEPAF 
    Duration: 1h (30 min stories, 15 min sign learning) , Meeting point in front of House Hall 3 , No registration required .

  • Family Yoga 
    In this yoga session, the whole family is welcome. No experience needed. Mats are available at the museum, or bring your own. The session is guided and low-threshold. In collaboration with Barbara Pereyra 
    Duration: 1h, Meeting point in Hall 4 , reservation recommended but not required. Tickets via our webshop “Family yoga”

    Enjoy a peaceful museum visit guided by a professional. 
    Price: €18 , Duration: 1h30, Meeting point in the old ticket hall , Reservation required. Tickets via our webshop “low-stimulus guided tour”

  • Playmobil Workshop See above. Dutch only 
  • Guided tour for the hard of hearing and deaf (in VGT – Flemish Sign Language only) Duration: 1h30, Meeting point in the old ticket hall, reservation required. Tickets via our webshop “guided tour for the deaf” .
  • Sensory route (in French) : Discover the museum in a different way. For all ages. Duration: 1 hour, Hall 1, meeting point in the bookshop. Reservation recommended but not required. Tickets available via our webshop under “parcours sensoriel”.

We accept Article 27 and Vakantieparticipatie upon display of a valid ticket at our booking office. 

No other tickets, passes or preferential rates (teachers’ ticket, museum pass, Brussels Card, Educpass, ICOM, etc.) nor the Discovery Combi can be used for following activities:
