Low stimulus bags for a more inclusive museum

Train World is committed to ensuring that every visitor can fully enjoy their visit. That is why, in our Great Ticket Hall, you will find a wooden wall with sensory-friendly bags. Anyone who needs them is welcome to use these bags. They are designed to help visitors explore the museum in a calm and comfortable way.

What’s in the bag?

Each bag contains carefully selected and adapted items: noise-cancelling headphones to reduce ambient noise, a flashlight, a magnifying glass and a fidget toy. These tools allow you to tailor your visit to your sensitivity to noise, light or busy environments and to experience the museum at your own pace.

Independent & accessible

The bags are hanging on the wooden sensory-friendly wall in our Great Ticket Hall. They are freely available for visitors to use. There is no need to ask a member of staff. One more barrier removed!

The only thing we ask is that you return the bag to the museum shop at the end of your visit, so that our museum staff can place it back on the sensory-friendly wall.

In this way, Train World aims to be an increasingly accessible museum, lowering every possible barrier by paying attention to the needs of all visitors, without stigmatizing anyone.
